Statement

My art revolves around universal truths that are found beyond a solely human experience. I use materials like graphite, bone, wood, stone, and other products of biological or geological processes. My practice mimics the interactions between material entities that are observed in the world; I am inspired most by hidden patterns of insect-eaten tree bark, windswept waves, murmurations, and the turning of the stars in the span of a year. Through repetitive and persistent, but minimal intervention with my environment, I create images, objects, sounds, texts, and physical actions.
